How does student storage work?

We collect your items, store them securely, and deliver them when you're ready.

How much does storage cost?

Prices start from £1.75 per week depending on the number of boxes stored.

Can I use my own suitcases or bags for storage and shipping?

Yes, and we will provide a free heavy duty label holder for each suitcase.

Can I use my own boxes for storage?

You can only use our free heavy duty boxes.

Can I use my own boxes for shipping?

Yes, you can use your own double-walled heavy duty boxes for shipping.

Can I store and ship furniture, bikes and other bulky items?

We cannot store furniture, sorry, but bikes are allowed as long as they're inside heavy duty double-walled bike boxes.

Where do you store my belongings?

At remote warehouses closed to the public.

How do you transport my belongings?

We collect your boxes, store them for as long as you like, and return them to your new address at the end of storage using our network of vehicles and partners.

What about storage and shipping insurance?

We provide up to GBP150 free cover per box in the event of loss in transit.

What can I store and ship with you?

Pretty much anything that fits in a box or suitcase, but not liquids, batteries, flammables, and food.

What is your minimum/maxmimum student storage period?

Minimum storage period is 2 weeks. There is no maximum storage period!

Do you charge extra for returning stored items to another city?

No, unlike our competitors, our return delivery charge covers all cities in the country.

Overlapping flaps

Our storage and shipping box flaps don't just meet in the middle - they overlap!

They make it almost impossible for the bottom to give way like other boxes do.

Boxes you can stand on

Our unique boxes are made from export grade stitched double-walled cardboard.

You won't find anything like them at your local self-storage or retailer.

Suitcases

We accept large suitcases as long as they are wrapped in our special heavy duty suitcase covers for protection. The size and weight limits for suitcases are 78cm x 55cm x 35cm and 25kg.

Please use the cardboard packaging materials provided to protect wheels and handles and pad out any gaps around the suitcase.*

* Please note that suitcase covers are for suitcases ONLY. Suitcase covers found to contain items other than suitcases and cardboard padding will be re-packed at our standard rates (see the avoidable charges section).

Customer's own boxes

Our storage and shipping boxes are of excellent quality and provided free of charge and so we recommend them over other boxes. If you prefer to use your own storage or shipping boxes please add them to your booking from the add items dropdown. We only accept brand new heavy duty double-walled boxes. Please note that the boxes supplied by Direct Global Trading, StorePak, Argos, and most self-storage companies are not suitable for our service.

Buying boxes and packing materials without storage/shipping services

If you want to buy boxes and packing materials we can sell them to you, subject to availability, at a rate of $3.50+VAT per box, $3+VAT per roll of packing tape, plus $15+VAT for delivery per pack. Boxes come in packs of 5. Please call to order.
